New thing to do–MAKE UP THE "DOSOMETHINGNEW" THEME SONG!!!!

well, as I was on my way to AGAPE tonight (the place I like to go on wednesdays for a little shot of spiritual liberation,) BUT since I have been meditating daily, I have been getting strong intuitive hits to do certain things that do NOT fit in with my plans. As I am driving there, I hear a voice to “call Dave, stop by” and it tells me 3 time to do this, even though I fight it. I finally call David, he answers, tells me he was been thinking about me this very day, and to stop over.  Well, you might have guessed by now my friends are ANYTHING but normal, they are all pieces of a beautiful creative puzzle, and when they are put all together, it just might form a picture of all the aspects of myself. :)

SO I stop by, his friend is playing drums, he is on the guitar, he pours us all a drink and we start to jam, sing, make up songs all night.  At this moment do I realize that this experience IS church itself. Not only do we “hang out” (who even haas the time or freedom of mind to do THAT anymore?) we CREATE.  This is like it is with my blessed family of friends I have here. We create, laugh, and inspire when we are together. So tonight, as we were making up the most ridiculous songs about what ever my blabber mouth was talking about…(which was about someone I recently met and believe could be soul mate)  and laughing and making up songs till we could not breathe (lots of things rhyme with soulmate we found out)….I stopped and said—THIS IS MY NEW THIG FOR TODAY!!!!  Lets make up my LETSDOSOMETHINGNEW THEME song!!!! But we have to do it IN THE MOMENT—-NO rehearsal, NO planning ahead or knowing what anyone will sing!!!!  1,2,3, and I turned my camera on……..and this is what came out!!  nothing but 3 musicians playing around with the idea of doing something new….This was a BLAST!!  Imagine if we actually put WORK in into this song……but as for now….it is my new thing THEME SONG!!!!  And I love it! It was new for ALL OF US to write it and sing it and play it and record it on the SPOT—all about living in the CREATIVE moment of the NOW!!!!!

I hope for your new thing today you can spend a moment, a sentence, an interaction, just saying whatever is on your mind, and trust that the moment will provide you with whatever you need to make the conversation sound like MUSIC!!!!!  Here it is….the Letsdosomethingnew unplugged version, one day for the new thing, we will go into a studio and REALLY do the theme song justice, but for now, it was a beautiful thing!!!!!!!

enjoy…..

iILOVE LOVE LOVE this one and I am now inspired to get it into a studio, with some name musicians and make a recording from it!!!!

Hi Rachel….loved the song, the spontaneity, etc. hey, don’t go for name musicians to do it “right” give some new to the scene musicians a big break. there are plenty of good ones no one has heard about yet but you.

now you have a new background song you can play lots of times if you like.
now all you need is me playing the flute and or drum for another background piece. with Dad singing?
you just tell us how to record and send it to you!!!
that would be something new indeed. for us.
    love mom
