1st NEW thing of 2010—-Keeping Track Of My CELL-F

Well this was not quite what I had planned for the first NEW thing to try of 2010…….but it would have made an amazing Nancy Drew mystery story. To sum it up, my purse was stolen at a bar on new years eve, but fortunately, I had set up my i-phone tracking system on my mobile me account, and so by 3 am I knew exactly where it was on the GPS tracking system. It was at a house 35 miles away, and I had NO idea who lived there, but I KNEW for sure my i-phone was there and I was going to get it.   This was my story of how I drove to the house and eventually got my i-phone back!!!!!!  A very happy ending and exciting way to start the NEW year.

New thing #1   Learning how to track down my stolen i-phone, and crack the case in under 12 hours. Click play and hear how I did it…..a special thanks do ADY, Angela and Mike……

This was the print out of WHERE the GPS tracked my i-phone!!!   ***UPDATE: You must purchase the MOBILEME feature to have this work for you if you have an i-phone…..

OMG….that is sooooo cute. Same thing happened to me without a happy ending one week after I bought the phone. Stolen at the W Hotel in WW.

    Nice video!

So glad you found it:). I love that new feature – I lost my phone, went to the website, tracked it to my address, sent it a message, and VOILA – found it in the couch cushions! Not as dramatic as retrieving your phone from a house of strangers but still pretty handy!

BTW, I think the tracking is a feature of Mobile Me, so you have to have that service to use it.
